MOD-dConn Features

Easy Configuration

Easy to configure MODBUS OPC Server. Simple and easy to use GUI for device and tag definition and viewing real time data from device.  Allows declaring OPC Tags in hierarchical manner.

Supports MODBUS Protocol Variants

Supports MODBUS RTU, MODBUS ASCII, MODBUS on RS-232 Serial Port, MODBUS TCP/IP and many others.

Multiple Device Type Support

Allows defining multiple types of device with different register-parameter mapping. User can simultaneously connect different makes of PLC, Energy Meters, SCANNER and other devices on a same channel / port.

Flexible Port /Channels Configuration

Allows setting baud rate, parity and/or start bit on each channel individually. You can also use different variant of MODBUS Protocol on different channels / ports e.g. MODBUS RTU on COM1 channel and MODBUS ASCII on COM2.

Polling Optimization

Allows optimizing reading block of MODBUS Register. This allows muliple tags to be read in a single read command for performance. You can define upto 99 Reading Blocks on a single port / channel.

Device Template Support

You can use pre-built device tample for easy creation of device tags. Allows defining new device tamplates or modifying existing tamplate.

OPC DA 2.0 Interface

MOD-dConn is built using the industry standard  Northern Dynamics OPC Server Tool Kit which is compliance tested for OPC DA 2.0. The library has been tested with many third party OPC Client including SCADA/HMI from many vendors.

Tag Scaling

Allows scaling of the value returned by the device. Linear and Square Root type of scaling are supported.

Device Status Tag

Automatically creates a status flag type tag for each defined device which provides Boolean status for communication failure with the device.

Import / Export of Tag

User can export or import Tag Configuration using the CSV file.

Error Diagnostic Support

Automatically creates Error file device communication diagnostic. Time Out, Read / Write and different other types of errors are reported.
